Prevention and health disparities
At Amsterdam UMC, we want to improve health and reduce health disparities in society. To do that, we must acknowledge the complexity of the causes of poor health and health disparities. What does that mean for care, research, education and valorisation? And we are also a major employer: how can we help our employees be and stay healthy?

A changing labour market

Sustainability
The healthcare sector has a significant impact on our living environment, and on the health of our planet. How should we include this impact in our decision making around care? How can our organisation become even more sustainable, and what should our priorities be?

Collaboration at the regional, national and international level

We are increasingly organising and directing care, research, education and training in coordination with partners in our region. We are taking the lead. Many of our departments and divisions already have long-standing, meaningful collaborations with regional partners.
